Deepening into Key Industries to Drive AI Implementation in Enterprise Processes
In response to Wenzhou’s vibrant private economy and diverse industrial landscape, Wenzhou Telecom and DingTalk have collaborated deeply within local key sectors such as manufacturing, apparel, and auto-motorcycle parts. Starting from digitizing simple tasks like spreadsheets, they have progressively achieved intelligent workshop management, helping enterprises lower the barriers to digital transformation and break down data silos.
The goal is to move AI beyond conceptual stages and truly integrate it into enterprise production workflows and management decision-making, making it a practical tool for enhancing efficiency and reducing costs.

Semir: Co-Creating New AI Business Integration Scenarios with DingTalk
Semir, a Wenzhou-based listed company and well-known apparel brand, is a deep co-creation partner of DingTalk. Lin Jianxia, Head of Application Innovation, likened the current explosive growth of AI to the Cambrian explosion.
She recalled that Semir’s collaboration with DingTalk has been more than just adopting tools—it has been a joint exploration of “how to grow AI directly on top of business operations.” Since launching the DingTalk workspace in 2018, Semir has gradually integrated multiple applications onto the DingTalk platform.
Starting in 2024, Semir began piloting DingTalk’s AI Assistant, embraced AI-powered spreadsheets, and continued co-creating various AI application scenarios.
Among these, the "AI Note-taker" feature has become especially popular among employees. Its structured intelligent summarization capability is considered more comprehensive and intuitive than traditional note-taking, significantly improving meeting communication efficiency. Lin affectionately refers to it as a "workplace best friend."
Additionally, she regards DingTalk Docs as a “great mentor,” because it enables organizational knowledge to be preserved and shared, prevents loss of expertise, helps new employees avoid common pitfalls, and supports continuous innovation built upon predecessors’ experiences.
Lin emphasized that Semir upholds the win-win philosophy of “when the small river flows, the big river overflows”—when every individual is empowered and creative, the collective potential becomes limitless. DingTalk, she said, serves as the “digital riverbed” carrying this ecosystem.

Using DingTalk: Before & After
Before
- × Team Chaos: Team members are all busy with their own tasks, standards are inconsistent, and the more communication there is, the more chaotic things become, leading to decreased motivation.
- × Info Silos: Important information is scattered across WhatsApp/group chats, emails, Excel spreadsheets, and numerous apps, often resulting in lost, missed, or misdirected messages.
- × Manual Workflow: Tasks are still handled manually: approvals, scheduling, repair requests, store visits, and reports are all slow, hindering frontline responsiveness.
- × Admin Burden: Clocking in, leave requests, overtime, and payroll are handled in different systems or calculated using spreadsheets, leading to time-consuming statistics and errors.
After
- ✓ Unified Platform: By using a unified platform to bring people and tasks together, communication flows smoothly, collaboration improves, and turnover rates are more easily reduced.
- ✓ Official Channel: Information has an "official channel": whoever is entitled to see it can see it, it can be tracked and reviewed, and there's no fear of messages being skipped.
- ✓ Digital Agility: Processes run online: approvals are faster, tasks are clearer, and store/on-site feedback is more timely, directly improving overall efficiency.
- ✓ Automated HR: Clocking in, leave requests, and overtime are automatically summarized, and attendance reports can be exported with one click for easy payroll calculation.
