Hefei Companies Are Accelerating into the "AI Office Era"

On October 30, DingTalk held its DingTalk Summit in Hefei under the theme "The Way of Work in the AI Era," attracting over 300 representatives from innovative enterprises across Hefei and Anhui Province to jointly explore cutting-edge trends and practical pathways for intelligent transformation.

Hefei, known as the "City of Innovation," has ranked among the top provincial capital cities in China in terms of economic growth over the past decade and has become a benchmark region for enterprise digitalization and intelligence. Since this year, Hefei has emerged as one of the fastest-growing cities for DingTalk's business. Especially after the launch of AI-powered DingTalk 8.0, its AI products have gained widespread popularity among local businesses and employees, with many companies proactively requesting access to AI features, said Chen Weimian, General Manager of DingTalk’s Central China Region.

The active progress made by Hefei enterprises in digital and intelligent transformation is largely due to strong policy support. In recent years, both Anhui Province and Hefei City have introduced multiple policies encouraging digital and intelligent transformation for enterprises. At the summit, the Hefei Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology provided detailed on-site policy guidance to participating companies.

Data shows that more than 120,000 enterprise organizations in Anhui Province are using DingTalk, with 50,000 based in Hefei—accounting for 41%. Among Hefei’s more than 10,000 designated large-scale enterprises, nearly half are currently using DingTalk. Local leading industries such as manufacturing, information technology, and energy infrastructure are also the sectors with the highest DingTalk adoption rates.

A number of globally influential enterprises have become deep users of DingTalk, including Sungrow Power (a leader in photovoltaic inverters), National Instruments Quantum (a pioneer in quantum information commercialization), Visionox (a leading OLED display company), as well as national catering brands such as Laoxiangji, Xiao Caiyuan, and Qige Food, along with construction and transportation infrastructure companies like Yuanding Construction and Anhui Transportation Holding Group—all leveraging DingTalk to enhance organizational collaboration and achieve digital-intelligent upgrades.

The event venue was packed, reflecting high enthusiasm among attendees.

Laoxiangji: AI Enhances Service Standardization

Laoxiangji has adopted DingTalk’s AI coaching solution, significantly improving frontline employee service quality through AI-simulated training and emergency scenario drills. Additionally, by building an internal intelligent Q&A system on DingTalk’s enterprise-grade AI platform, the company has greatly shortened new employee training cycles and effectively addressed inconsistencies in execution standards common in franchise models.

According to Zhang Ziyou, Head of DingTalk’s Anhui Regional Office, Hefei enterprises are at the forefront of AI application, with features such as DingTalk Smart Notes, AI spreadsheets, and AI coaching widely used in meetings, operations, and training scenarios.

DingTalk Senior Solution Expert Hang Yuan introduced A1, the company’s first AI hardware product, during the event.

Executives and digital transformation leaders from Qige Food, Yuanding Construction, and Anhui Provincial Communications Holding Group shared their practical case studies.

Hefei Qige Food Co., Ltd.

Qige Food is a well-known food production company headquartered in Hefei, operating 130 chain stores across more than 50 cities. It produces hundreds of thousands of items daily—including egg tart shells, beef, and pizzas—utilizing nearly 100 tons of raw materials. Due to mismatches between procurement and usage timelines and separate departments handling receiving, consumption, and quality inspection, real-time information sharing had been difficult.

After adopting DingTalk in 2022, the company achieved digital management of inventory inflow, outflow, and quantity tracking. By scanning QR codes via smartphones, staff can instantly access all relevant data, dramatically improving efficiency. This year, Qige Food also developed its own AI agent.

Anhui Yuanding Construction Engineering Co., Ltd.

Anhui Communications Holding Information Industry Co., Ltd.

Li Guogang, Chief Technology Officer at Anhui Communications Holding Information Company, stated that 2025 marks the closing year of the 14th Five-Year Plan and a critical year for the group’s digital transformation. To efficiently advance dozens of digital initiatives, the company is building a unified portal and development platform as the core foundation for system integration and data coordination.
