On December 4, DingTalk, an artificial intelligence application platform under Alibaba, held the DingTalk Summit in Yantai, Shandong Province. Organized by the Yantai Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and hosted by DingTalk, the summit took place under the guidance of the Shandong Digital Economy Association. It marked a key step in Yantai's initiative to bring digital technologies such as AI into districts, industrial parks, and enterprises. Nearly 300 local business leaders and experts in digitalization attended the event.

Yantai Leads in Industrial Digitalization

As a major city on the Shandong Peninsula, Yantai is the seventh prefecture-level city in northern China to surpass one trillion yuan in GDP and ranks third in economic output within Shandong Province, with strong industrial capabilities. In the first three quarters of 2025, its above-designated-scale industrial value-added grew by 14.1%. Currently, more than half of Yantai’s above-designated-scale enterprises are using DingTalk, especially in leading industries such as chemicals, energy infrastructure, and advanced manufacturing.

Government-Enterprise Collaboration Drives AI Transformation

Li Honglin, Deputy Director of the Yantai Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, said that in recent years Yantai has focused on building a digital city and accelerating both industrial digitalization and the growth of digital industries. He expressed hopes that this event would further enhance enterprise intelligence levels.

Zhang Kaili, Secretary-General of the Shandong Digital Economy Association, noted that DingTalk is not only a leader in technological innovation but also an active builder of industrial ecosystems, and she looks forward to it injecting new momentum into Yantai enterprises’ digital transformation and intelligent upgrading.

At the summit, the Yantai Bureau of Industry and Information Technology provided a policy briefing on enterprise digitalization. DingTalk, together with Yantai Development Zone, the Shandong Digital Economy Association, and representatives from multiple Shandong-based companies, jointly launched the "Yantai Enterprise AI Launch Initiative," marking the official entry of local businesses into a new era of AI-driven work.

DingTalk Unveils Multiple AI Achievements

Shi Jiangfeng, General Manager of DingTalk's East China region, introduced that DingTalk 8.0, released this year, has undergone continuous iteration and optimization over the past three months: DingTalk AI Spreadsheet became the industry's first intelligent spreadsheet supporting 10 million hot rows in a single sheet, successfully handling the data peak during Double 11; DingTalk AI Meeting Notes has become a standard tool for meetings at many enterprises; and the first AI hardware device, DingTalk A1, received widespread acclaim after launch and has been hailed as a rising star among domestically produced AI hardware.

Leading Enterprises Share AI Practices

Lucid Group: As a national leader in agricultural industrialization, Lucid began adopting DingTalk in 2016, achieving online integration across more than 400 branch companies, 47 production bases, and over 20,000 employees nationwide. Over a hundred systems—including ERP, CRM, and OMS—have been fully integrated, enabling highly coordinated business processes and closed-loop management from peanut procurement to cooking oil sales. CIO Jiang Bo stated that Lucid is co-creating AI applications with DingTalk, advancing work methods from the mobile era into the AI era.

Zhenghai Group: This large manufacturing enterprise operating in rare-earth permanent magnets, new-energy vehicle powertrains, and regenerative medicine has built a secure and efficient collaboration platform through DingTalk, unifying access points for business systems and strengthening information security. Since recently adopting DingTalk AI Meeting Notes, video meeting efficiency has improved by 66%, making it highly popular among employees.
