Everyone Can Become a 3-Minute AI Tinkerer
During the 2026 Apsara Conference, Qwen Workspace hosted 9 "Tinker-Off" mini-competitions at the "Qianzai Creation Camp" in Hall 3.
Ten hosts, including Shi Yan, Zang AI, and Dongdong Run, presented on-site challenges. Special guests such as Zhang Mofan, Jin Dui the Great Actor, Black Pepper Crispy Shark, and Alexx Lei also attended to share their insights.
Some brought elementary school experiments to the screen, others turned everyday objects into 3D Pokémon, and some even recreated the 2006 version of Tianya...
Let's take a look at what they've "tinkered" up!
01 Science Class: Practice First on the Screen
In the "Still Teaching This Class" mini-competition, Zhang Xin, a frontline elementary school science teacher, used Qwen Workspace to build a "Virtual Elementary Science Lab."
He moved all 93 science experiments for grades 3 to 5 onto a web page.
Select an experiment, and the materials, steps, phenomena, and safety tips are all right there. Students can drag equipment like batteries and light bulbs onto the lab bench, try connecting them first, and then observe what happens.
The purpose of the virtual experiment is not to replace hands-on practice, but to allow students to rehearse the procedures before entering the actual lab.
02 Everything is Pokémon
In the "Build the Next Hit MVP" mini-competition, contestant Zhang Junwei created "Everything is Pokémon GO."
Upload a person or object around you, and it turns into a 3D Pokémon; open the map, and you can even find characters already discovered by other players.
He didn't just build character generation; he also integrated map exploration, battles, gacha draws, and a nurturing system all in one go.
Friends, colleagues, and even the boss can be added to the Pokédex. The world is your training ground, and you can "catch" them as soon as you step outside.
03 Tianya 2006, Recreated from Scratch
In the "Build the Next Hit MVP" mini-competition, contestant Zhao Yufei used Qwen Workspace to recreate the Tianya community from 20 years ago. The moment the webpage opens, time instantly rewinds to 2006.
Some are chatting about their newly bought MP3 players, some are worrying about their first job, and others are already making plans: where to watch the 2008 Olympics opening ceremony and with whom.
This is not just a nostalgic recreation. The website also features sections like "2006: Time Travel to the Past," "2026: New Stories, Old Chats," and "Qianzai Help."
04 Decoding the "Client Speak"
You know every single word the client says, but when put together, you might still have no idea how to make the revisions.
Black Pepper Crispy Shark, a special guest who has worked on the agency side of advertising for six years, has accumulated plenty of such communication cases.
At the "Top Sales, Close the Deal" on-site event, he fed these cases and his own judgment experience into Qwen Workspace, creating a Skill called "Decode the Client Speak" to help users analyze potential revision directions, communication signals, and project risks hidden in client feedback.
In the past, the "implied meaning" could only be slowly grasped through work experience; now, it has been organized into a reusable workflow.
05 A Cup of Milk Tea: Are We Making Money or Losing It?
Yun Cha Cha had a turnover of over 140,000 in August, with people queuing up every day, yet the bank account only had 3,412 yuan left at the end of the month.
This is the topic for the finance session of "Experience the Life Instance of a Listed Company CFO."
Jie Yang first compressed the entire month's revenue into a one-page analysis: the average net revenue per cup of milk tea is 17.50 yuan. After factoring in raw materials, packaging, platform fees, rent, labor, and utilities, each cup loses about 0.80 yuan. The store was still 664 cups short of the break-even sales volume in August.
But just understanding this isn't enough.
He also used Qwen Workspace to build an operations management system. By entering daily sales, net revenue, platform fees, and raw material wastage, the boss can check the current balance and projected profit or loss; after adjusting the price or costs, the system will even recalculate the break-even target.
Financial analysis is no longer just a report seen at the end of the month; instead, it has become a daily operational tool.
From classroom experiments to store revenue, every specific problem can be turned into a creation.
The "Tinker-Off" mini-competitions have temporarily come to a close, but with Qwen Workspace, the creation continues!

Using DingTalk: Before & After
Before
- × Team Chaos: Team members are all busy with their own tasks, standards are inconsistent, and the more communication there is, the more chaotic things become, leading to decreased motivation.
- × Info Silos: Important information is scattered across WhatsApp/group chats, emails, Excel spreadsheets, and numerous apps, often resulting in lost, missed, or misdirected messages.
- × Manual Workflow: Tasks are still handled manually: approvals, scheduling, repair requests, store visits, and reports are all slow, hindering frontline responsiveness.
- × Admin Burden: Clocking in, leave requests, overtime, and payroll are handled in different systems or calculated using spreadsheets, leading to time-consuming statistics and errors.
After
- ✓ Unified Platform: By using a unified platform to bring people and tasks together, communication flows smoothly, collaboration improves, and turnover rates are more easily reduced.
- ✓ Official Channel: Information has an "official channel": whoever is entitled to see it can see it, it can be tracked and reviewed, and there's no fear of messages being skipped.
- ✓ Digital Agility: Processes run online: approvals are faster, tasks are clearer, and store/on-site feedback is more timely, directly improving overall efficiency.
- ✓ Automated HR: Clocking in, leave requests, and overtime are automatically summarized, and attendance reports can be exported with one click for easy payroll calculation.
