DingTalk 8.1.10 rolls out new update, bringing "AI spokesperson" for workplace communication

DingTalk has launched a new chat AI feature: high-EQ AI helps you easily respond.

Recently, many users have noticed a new small icon on the right side of the DingTalk chat input box. Clicking it activates the "one-click generate high-EQ replies" function, quickly attracting widespread attention and frequent use among workplace users.

According to the DingTalk team, this feature was initially proposed by a post-00s product manager as an internal playful idea and wasn't expected to succeed. However, during gray-scale testing, this feature significantly boosted chat engagement, with users frequently using it in both group and private chats, giving feedback such as "can't stop using it."

The newly launched "AI Dynamic Reply" feature analyzes the current conversation context, identifies the relationship between participants and their organizational roles, and intelligently generates 4–6 reply suggestions in various styles—concise, professional, confirmatory, casual, or lively. Users can further edit these suggestions before sending, saving time on wording while maintaining personalized expression.

For example, in superior-subordinate communication, the system prioritizes formal, concise, or proactive confirmation-style replies; in customer service scenarios, it emphasizes polite inquiries and patient responses to help users maintain a professional and appropriate image.

Even in awkward situations like "a colleague asking for a ride" or manipulative conversations, "AI Dynamic Reply" can detect subtle tones and offer emotionally intelligent response suggestions.

Users simply click the "AI Dynamic Reply" icon on the right side of the chat box, and the system continuously provides multi-angle reply suggestions based on the conversation history. Both PC and mobile users can experience this feature after upgrading to the latest version of DingTalk.

In addition, DingTalk 8.1.10 also introduces "AI Emoji Reactions," allowing one-click selection of AI-generated text/image memes as responses, and "AI Forwarded Message Summary," which automatically extracts key content when forwarding multiple messages together, improving communication efficiency.

DingTalk AI Listen & Record adds AI Q&A: even if you're distracted during a meeting, you can still answer questions fluently afterward.

AI Listen & Record has become a powerful efficiency tool for many users. Previously, users had to browse raw transcripts to find information. Now, with AI Q&A, the system not only automatically transcribes and summarizes but also answers specific questions based on meeting content, identifies pending tasks, and tracks action items.

In scenarios such as studying, interviews, project discussions, and sales visits, users can use AI Q&A on the transcription detail page of Listen & Record to collaborate with AI and complete specific tasks much more efficiently.

Now I can ask AI to generate a 200-word interview summary and analyze candidates' strengths and weaknesses. Work that used to take two hours now takes just five minutes."

This update also introduces the "record, capture photos, and mark simultaneously" feature. Combined with AI Q&A, AI Listen & Record becomes a learning powerhouse for students: after recording a lecture, it generates notes; students can mark key points and insert the teacher's PPT images during class to aid post-class review. The translation interface supports 180-degree flipping, making face-to-face communication easier—for example, asking directions or ordering food abroad. During meetings, real-time translations can be projected onto screens so both parties can view subtitles simultaneously, enabling smoother communication.

Their CEO said: "With this device, we no longer need additional interpreters for business negotiations, and meeting content can be instantly shared with our domestic team, greatly improving collaboration efficiency."
