On January 20, DingTalk released version 8.2.5. The "AI Business Travel" product, developed in collaboration with Amap and Alipay, officially went live. All enterprise users can now search for keywords such as "AI Business Travel," "Travel Transportation," "Flights," or "Hotels" within the latest version of DingTalk to access this service instantly and free of charge, without any need for upfront payments or service fees. This update also fully launches features like AI Print and AI Note with real-time translation capabilities.

Reducing Business Travel Costs for SMEs

AI Business Travel eliminates corporate advance payments and employee reimbursements

DingTalk’s AI Business Travel is specifically designed for SMEs with fewer than 500 employees. By integrating Amap Ride-Hailing and Alipay's corporate payment solutions, it offers comprehensive travel services across four core scenarios: flights, hotels, train tickets, and transportation. Compared to other business travel platforms, DingTalk AI Business Travel connects directly to major hotel groups such as Jinjiang, Home Inn, Dongcheng, Atour, and Yaste, offering cheaper hotel bookings. The product also features an AI-powered price comparison function that automatically searches and compares prices across multiple booking platforms in real time, helping users find the lowest available rates.

For frequent travelers, the AI travel assistant simplifies the entire process—users can plan their itinerary with just one sentence. Even complex multi-city routes receive optimal suggestions within 30 seconds, and business trip forms are automatically generated without manual input.

Another major convenience comes from the “seamless reimbursement” ride-hailing feature co-developed with Amap. After submitting an out-of-office or travel request, employees can book rides directly within the approval form or by searching for "Amap Ride-Hailing." Once the trip ends, the invoice and journey details are automatically linked to the corresponding approval form, completely eliminating the hassle of manually collecting receipts. On the payment side, DingTalk partners with Alipay Corporate Code to offer corporate payment options, allowing businesses to enable direct payment so employees never need to pay out of pocket.

For management, AI Business Travel includes built-in professional travel management tools. Companies can customize travel policies, set flight booking deadlines, define hotel price ranges, and specify train seat classes. The system also generates detailed reports and rankings by department or individual employee, making travel expenses fully visible and controllable.

At Hangzhou-based robotics company "Yuanli Infinite," the HR lead compared prices between DingTalk and other travel platforms during a live demo and immediately decided to switch.

One month after adoption, the end-to-end cycle—from application submission to reimbursement completion—was reduced from 10 days to just 3 days. The company saved approximately 150,000 RMB on travel expenses in the first month alone.

Whether in face-to-face conversations or cross-border video conferences, users can now hear translated dialogue instantly. Even those with limited foreign language skills can participate confidently while traveling or attending meetings abroad.

The new real-time interpretation feature not only provides translated subtitles but also supports voice translation. By simply wearing standard Bluetooth headphones, users can enjoy real-time multilingual translation among Chinese, English, Japanese, and others. They can even set different languages for left and right earbuds, enabling smooth two-person conversations with each person listening in their preferred language. In DingTalk video conferences, multi-language bidirectional interpretation is supported—participants can select their own language and listen in their native tongue. The system also automatically generates meeting summaries and follow-up tasks, greatly improving cross-border collaboration efficiency.
